NATO International Week to Be Held in Kyiv

From April 23, the Ivan Chernyakhovsky National Defense University of Ukraine will host the 18th International Week of NATO.

The International Week is devoted to the analysis and discussion of key issues that contribute to the development of a modern security environment, and are of paramount importance for NATO’s position and adaptation to the challenges of the 21st century.

This was reported by the press service of Ministry of Defense of Ukraine.

“NATO experts, prominent scholars and officials at the alliance headquarters and directly involved in shaping the alliance’s policy, will familiarize the students of the Ivan Chernyakhovsky National Defense University with views on the prospects of the alliance’s development and directions of cooperation with the European Union. Modern hybrid threats and NATO’s response to them will also be discussed, as well as Russia’s western assessment.,” the statement by the Ukrainian Ministry of Defense reads.

The event will be held with the support of the NATO Defense College in Rome, Italy, and the NATO School in Oberammergau, Germany. Key representatives of the Ukrainian Ministry of Defense, the Lithuanian Ministry of National Defense, NATO International Military Staff and NATO Liason Office in Ukraine, will be present at the opening ceremony tomorrow.

Representatives of legislative and executive authorities, law enforcement agencies, higher educational institutions, and public organizations of Ukraine, are also invited to take part in the International Week.

On April 18, a NATO Military Committee meeting took place in Ukraine for the first time.
