The prosecutor’s office of the Donetsk region has initiated criminal proceedings on the fact of the premeditated murder of the convicts, writes UA.
The pre-trial investigation established that last Friday in the Kirov colony, on the territory of the Donetsk region uncontrolled by Ukraine, three Ukrainians were killed. One of them has been identified. The second is still being established, and the fact of the murder of the third is being verified.
Earlier, the Ukrainian ombudswoman Lyudmila Denisova said that the dead were convicted before the start of hostilities in the Donbas. One of them asked for a transfer to the controlled territory. But the occupation authorities blocked this process at the beginning of 2019.
450 Ukrainian citizens are awaiting transfer from places of detention in the uncontrolled regions of Donbas. The issue of helping these people will be discussed at the next meeting of the Trilateral Contact Group.
