More than 10,000 hectares of agricultural land sold in Ukraine

5206 transactions have already been concluded within the land market.

Such data is reported by the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine as of August 10, UA informs.

It is noted that 4,532 notaries submitted applications for access to the State Land Cadastre. There are 5,082 applications in total, 4,473 of them were approved, in the queue for consideration – 17, 592 were refused.

According to the ministry, from July 1 to August 9 this year, transactions for 10161 hectares of land were registered in Ukraine. The leaders are Poltava (1,276.4 ha) and Kharkiv regions (1,171.8 ha).

On July 1, the land market was launched in Ukraine. By 2024, only individual citizens of Ukraine can buy agricultural land with a limit of 100 hectares. The Land Market Law prohibits foreigners from buying land. The issue of selling land to people without Ukrainian citizenship and foreigners will be decided only at a national referendum.
