The Ministry of Health calls on the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine to pass a presidential bill, providing access to medical cannabis for Ukrainian patients.

UA reports this citing the Facebook page of the Ministry of Health.

“Legalization of marijuana for medical purposes is primarily a medical issue, not a political one. It is the solution of the issue of reducing pain for seriously ill patients. The use of drugs containing cannabis is allowed in many European countries. We call on the MPs of Ukraine to support this bill” – Oleksandr Komaryda, Deputy Minister of Health for European Integration said.

During the clinical tests enough statistical information was collected to support the effectiveness of cannabis in the treatment of more than 50 pathological conditions.
