Ministry for Reintegration of Temporary Occupied Territories and the NIB continue to search for missing children

During the three weeks of operation of the Children of War platform, thousands of Ukrainians have already used it, Oleksandr Smirnov, head of the National Information Bureau (NIB), said.

It should be noted that Children of War is a joint project of the Ministry for Reintegration of Temporary Occupied Territories of Ukraine, the National Information Bureau, the Office of the GPU (General Prosecutor of Ukraine), the National Police, the Secretariat of the Human Rights Commissioner of the VRU, and the Office of the President.

“Each appeal is a step towards saving a child. The collected data will also be the basis of the evidence base for bringing the guilty to inevitable responsibility,” noted Oleksandr Smirnov.

Currently, the Children of War portal has information on about 5,000 found, almost 7,000 deported, as well as hundreds of wounded, dead, and missing children. 50 children have already been returned from the Russian Federation.

The head of the NIB urged everyone who has information to use the platform by choosing the appropriate form on the website or to report to the NIB hotline 16-48.
