Lviv Armor Vehicle Factory to Launch Mass Modernization of T-64 Tanks

Lviv Armor Vehicle factory, part of the Ukroboronprom State Concern, has launched the mass modernization of T-64 tanks. Modernized tanks will be equipped with thermal imaging cameras, digital radio stations, satellite navigation and new dynamic protection, press-release of Ukroboronprom reported.

The modernization will significantly expand the combat capabilities of the tanks. T-64 was participated during NATO’s Strong Europe Tank Challenge in 2017 and was demonstrated during Independence Day parade 2018 in Ukraine.


Previously, only Kharkiv Armored Plant upgraded T-64 tanks, that has already sent more than 150 modernized tanks to the Ukrainian army.
