The self-proclaimed president of Belarus Lukashenko and the president of Russia Putin do not pay attention to the resolutions and appeals of international organizations, such dictators understand only force and steps that affect their interests. This was announced today, on April 16, on the air of the FREEDOM TV channel by the head of the news editorial office of the Belsat TV channel, Igor Kulei.
“Lukashenko is a dictator with vast experience. His dictatorship began 28 years ago, such dictators with experience wanted to spit on any resolutions that are adopted and that are advisory, not binding. They don’t give a damn about Amnesty International, Freedom House, Reporters Without Borders, these organizations don’t have any tools of influence. What does a dictator understand? The dictator understands power. They understand the steps that affect their interests,” he said.
As an example, Kulei cited the recent dismissal of all charges against the head of the unofficial Union of Poles in Belarus, Anzhelika Borys, who was detained by the Lukashenka regime in 2021.
“She was under house arrest for more than 2 years, this is a long history, since Lukashenka destroyed the Union of Poles in Belarus for a long time. Why were these charges dropped? Because Poland has threatened that it will close the last checkpoint between Belarus and Poland, and there will be no traffic flow, there will be no schemes that the Lukashenko regime arranges with the re-export of some sanctioned goods to the European Union. And Lukashenka obeyed. This is the kind of power dictators like Putin and Lukashenko understand, and resolutions and appeals are empty words for them. They have never paid attention to this and will not pay attention,” Igor Kuley emphasized.
As reported, huge human losses, sanctions pressure and a sharp decline in living standards give rise to discontent of the citizens of the Russian Federation with the authorities. Many political experts believe that a major defeat at the front could even lead to a coup d’état in Russia.
