Liz Truss’s resignation will not cause blackouts in British support of Ukraine, – official Kyiv

The resignation of British Prime Minister Liz Truss will not interrupt the support provided by Britain to Ukraine.

Minister of Foreign Affairs, Dmytro Kuleba, stated this on air during the national newscast.

“We may have blackouts only when it comes to electricity, and even then we can avoid them if we use power sparingly. There will be no blackouts when it concerns support.”

Kuleba called the resignation of Liz Truss “a very dramatic story” and noted that he was genuinely surprised by her decision since he communicated with her in line of work and knows her to be a very strong and ambitious leader. He thinks there have been some significant internal party balances that prompted Truss to make this decision.

After the interview, Dmytro Kuleba shared his plans to send Truss a short message with the words of support in this situation.

20 October, Liz Truss announced her resignation. Her statement was made on the 45th day of her tenure as the Prime Minister. Her term in office became the shortest in history.
