On Thursday, September 2, the cargo provided by Ukraine for the humanitarian needs of Lithuania reached its destination and passed all customs procedures.
This is reported by UA with the reference to the State Emergency Service of Ukraine.
According to the report, the cargo is intended to strengthen the state border of Lithuania, protection from illegal migrants, which flow to the country from Belarus.
To remind, Ukraine sent more than 48 tons of humanitarian aid to Lithuania on September 1. Earlier, Ukrainian rescuers delivered another 38 tons of cargo to the Baltic country on August 14.
These are the first and second stages of the three planned assistances that Ukraine sends according to the decree of Volodymyr Zelenskyy and the order of the Cabinet of Ministers. The assistance will help strengthen the protection of Lithuania’s borders from illegal migrants.
