No foie gras, wildlife photography or traveling zoos. From now on one will be punished for this in Ukraine. A law that increases liability for cruelty to animals has recently come into force. It introduces a fine of up to 8 and half thousand hryvnias – that is about 320 US dollars – for torturing animals. While one who treats animals especially cruelly – will face 5 to 8 years in prison.
