Latvia has completed a 93-kilometer fence on the border with Russia.
It is still an open question whether additional barriers will be required, Delfi reported.
In 2015, Latvia decided to strengthen and modernize its 282.6-kilometer border with Russia.
The construction project includes special wooden bridges, patrol tracks and control lanes.
In areas where new fencing has been installed, the number of violations has significantly decreased.
Latvia has also accused Russian intelligence of cyber attacks.
