The first summit of the Crimea Platform will be attended by 44 states and organizations, 14 heads of state, governments and the EU.
UA reports this citing the Facebook page of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine.
“Latvia, Lithuania, Estonia, Poland, Slovakia, Hungary, Moldova, Slovenia, Finland, as well as President of the European Council will be represented”, – Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba said at an online briefing.
Romania, Georgia, Croatia, Sweden will be represented at the level of Prime Ministers.
Two states will be represented at the level of heads of parliaments – Switzerland and the Czech Republic.
14 countries will be represented at the level of foreign ministers – Turkey, France, Germany, Spain, Italy, Belgium, Austria, the Netherlands, Luxembourg, Ireland, Denmark, Bulgaria, Montenegro, and North Macedonia.
Two states will be represented by Defense Ministers – Great Britain and Portugal.
The United States will be represented by the President’s Personal Envoy, a member of the administration and the Minister of Transport.
Norway will be represented by the Secretary of State of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
The European Commission will be represented by its Vice President, NATO – by Deputy Secretary General, the Council of Europe will be represented by its Secretary General and the GUAM organization will be represented at the level of Secretary General.
Seven countries will be represented at the level of ambassadors – New Zealand, Malta, Japan, Australia, Cyprus, Canada and Greece.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy initiated the Crimea Platform a year and half ago.
During the briefing on August 13, Kuleba said that 40 countries and international organizations had confirmed their participation in the founding summit. A declaration will be adopted on August, 23. It will be open for subsequent accession by states that will not be able to take part in the constituent summit.
