At the meeting of the interdepartmental working group on forest conservation and reproduction, the Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council Oleksiy Danilov stated that it is necessary to conduct an inventory of forests.
This was reported by UA with reference to the press service of the National Security and Defense Council.
During the meeting, Danilov noted that practical solutions are needed for the successful implementation of the initiative of the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy “Green Country”.
“In particular, he stressed the importance of conducting an inventory of Ukraine’s forests. According to him, the State Statistics Service should have up-to-date data on the number of trees in the country” the statement said.
To remind, the Cabinet of Ministers adopted a resolution “On the Unified Ecological Platform “EcoSystem”, which regulates the issues of the functioning of the unified ecological platform. It was launched by the Ministry of Environment Protection and Natural Resources of Ukraine in test mode back in May 2021.
