We are talking about the downing of the International Airlines of Ukraine by the Iranian military Boeing in January 2020. The statement was also supported by representatives of Canada, Sweden and the United Kingdom.

This is stated in a statement on the website of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, UA reports.

The diplomats reminded that Iran must fulfill its international legal obligations to carry out reparations in full and called for negotiations by the end of the year.

If Iran continues to avoid negotiations with the group, the Coordination Group will have no choice but to seriously consider other actions and measures to address this issue under international law.

The plane of Ukraine International Airlines was shot down by the Iranian military with two surface-to-air missiles. All 176 people on board were killed, including 11 Ukrainians. Most of the victims were citizens of Iran and Canada.

To remind, the hearings in the case of the downing of the plane in Iran began on November 21.
