NATO Joint Military Exercises Start in Georgia

Today, NATO Noble Partner 2018 joint exercises begin at the Vaziani military base in Georgia.

According to the Georgian Defense Ministry press service, approximately 3,000 troops from 13 NATO member countries and partners will participate in the military training. Among them Georgia, Azerbaijan, Armenia, Great Britain, Germany, Lithuania, Norway, Poland, the United States, Turkey, Ukraine, France, and Estonia.

The US combat aviation and German armored personnel carriers will be participating.

The scenario will be joint exercises including staff and field training in the atmosphere of constant fire, as well as maneuvering with elements of combat support in defensive and offensive operations. There’s to be a focus on urban fighting.

The training lasts until August 15.
