A group of international chemical weapons experts, arrived in Britain, to receive the samples of the nerve agent used for poisoning the former Russian spy, Sergei Skripal, and his daughter Yulia Skripal.

Samples of the substance will be sent to reputable international laboratories selected by the Organization for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons.

The results are expected after at least two weeks.

On March 4, 2018, Skripal and his daughter were found unconscious on the bench, at the Salisbury shopping mall in England. They are still in  in critical condition.

British Prime Minister, Theresa May, said that Sergei and Yulia Skripal were poisoned by a Russian-developed neuroparalytic substance of military origin, known as Novichok.

Britain holds Russia responsible for the incident. As of March 14, May took the decision to expel 23 Russian diplomats from the country. They have been given a week to leave. May said that these diplomats are “undeclared intelligence officers.” She has also revealed measures to freeze Russian assets, cut off high-level communication with Moscow, pass new anti-espionage powers and isolate Vladimir Putin at the United Nations.
