In Tbilisi, 44 people were injured during a protest.

During an anti-government protest on Rustaveli Avenue in Tbilisi on the night of Sunday, 44 people were injured, including a media representative.

According to Ukrinform, this was reported by Echo of the Caucasus, citing a statement from the Ministry of Health of Georgia.

According to the ministry’s data, 27 of the injured were protesters, 16 were employees of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, and one was a media representative.

The lives of the injured are not currently in danger, and some of them have already returned home from the hospital. However, several people are still in hospitals under medical supervision.

The Ministry noted that these are only the individuals who were transported from the rally to the hospitals by ambulances.

Meanwhile, the TV channel Rustavi 2, citing a statement from the Georgian Ministry of Internal Affairs, reported that 50 demonstrators were arrested during the night of December 1. As a result, the total number of protesters arrested during the rallies in Tbilisi has exceeded 200.

Some of those arrested have been released, while others remain in temporary detention facilities. According to lawyers, some of them are receiving treatment in hospitals.
