Péter Magyar arrived in Kyiv to visit the Okhmatdyt children’s hospital Russian terrorists attacked on July 8 and deliver humanitarian aid.

He announced it in a series of live videos on Facebook.

Magyar met with Volodymyr Zhovnir, the head of the hospital, and discussed the repercussions of Russian vile attack on the facility. Afterwards, he assured Zhovnir that the Hungarian people understood Ukrainians and knew that they deserved the right to defend its territory.

He pointed out that he also wants peace for Ukraine, but would rather abstain from luxurious trips to negotiate with dictators, referring to his rival Viktor Orban who recently met with Putin and Xi Jinping to facilitate peace in Ukraine.

“Of course you can fly from dictator to dictator on luxurious planes and hold negotiations, the real agenda of which is unknown, or you can take particular steps,” Magyar stressed.

It should be noted that Viktor Orban didn’t specify who attacked the children’s hospital in Kyiv when commented on the tragedy and used as an argument for his ‘peace process’ he is trying to oversee, meeting with Russia and China’s leaders.

Earlier on the same day, Magyar honoured the fallen defenders of Ukraine at the wall of remembrance on the walls of St Michael’s Golden-Domed Monastery.
