Ukrainian border guards on the border with Belarus are building helipads that will help quickly transfer military personnel in the event of a sharp change in the situation.

This is reported by UA with reference to the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine.

Since the beginning of November, about 30 engineering groups of border guards have been constantly working on the Ukrainian-Belarusian border. They install various kinds of barriers – from egoza, barbed wire, chain-link mesh, and make portable barriers.

About 4,630 bays of spiral line barriers have already been attracted.

The department recalled that the Cabinet of Ministers allocated UAH 21 million to strengthen the border, the service has already purchased about 300 tons of raw materials. This should be enough to cover almost 62 km of the border.

To remind, Josep Borrell said that a large-scale Russian attack on Ukraine is not the most likely scenario.
