The UK is one of the main participants in the coalition to contain Russia. Vitaly Kulik, director of the Center for Research on Civil Society Problems, stated this on the FREEDOM TV channel.
“Since the time of Johnson, Britain has been the main locomotive of support and in every possible way stimulated both NATO and the European Union to take tougher decisions and provide support to Ukraine. And it is the collective consensus of British political forces that, even now, after the change of cabinet, is facilitating the transition of both the Europeans and NATO as an Alliance from the category of providing assistance to Ukraine to participating in resistance and containment of Russia. This is very important,” he said.
Kulik emphasized that participation in containment is a little more than just assistance with ammunition and political support and concern.
“Britain is precisely the force that maximizes its potential to provide support, participates in the budget, training, military equipment and so on, but also creates powerful logistics support in the form of supplies of weapons and necessary equipment,” said the director of the Center for Civil Affairs Research. society.
According to him, now the British military’s sober assessment of the threat posed by the alliance between Russia and China falls precisely into the logic that it is necessary to modernize its own armed forces and strengthen its military-technical potential.
Kulik noted that Britain’s military strategy includes active support for Ukraine and participation in containing Russia.
“And perhaps I will say a seditious thought, but the fact that Britain has left the European Union creates the opportunity for it to be mobile in making important strategic decisions regarding Ukraine. She does not look back at European democracy in Brussels and makes decisions quite quickly. And then the European Union seems to follow its path, accepting it belatedly, but inheriting certain British patterns,” he said.
