In case of resignation of the Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada Dmytro Razumkov, his chair may be taken by the current Vice Speaker Ruslan Stefanchuk.
This was told by People’s Deputy, the Head of the Committee on Finance, Tax and Customs Policy of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Danylo Getmantsev, UA informs.
Currently, the” Servant of the People” faction is considering several candidates who may become the new Vice Speaker of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine. In particular, the candidacy of the first deputy chairman of the “Servant of the People” faction Oleksandr Kornienko is being considered.
“The faction is holding consultations. I am not ready to talk about the candidacy. Kornienko is also possible, but we will definitely bring this issue to you when we solve it” – he said.
Getmantsev also noted that the issue of Razumkov’s resignation was resolved at a meeting of the faction in Truskavets.
“We decided on the resignation of the speaker at our meeting in Truskavets. We had enough of the circumstances” – he explained.
Commenting on the information that some deputies may leave the “Servant of the People” faction if they do not vote for Razumkov’s resignation, the MP replied:
“The point is that perhaps (and Razumkov spoke about it) he plans to open his own political project. We do not intend to oppose this. Maybe these people will join his project”
