On January 17, British transport planes with military assistance for Ukraine flew over German territory because the Federal Republic of Germany did not allow the use of its airspace.

This is reported by UA with reference to the UK Defense Journal.

“Two British C-17 transport aircraft carrying weapons to Ukraine were forced to fly outside the German airspace after the FRG refused to supply defense weapons to Ukraine” – the newspaper writes.

Two RAF C-17A Globemaster III transport aircraft arrived in Ukraine yesterday, apparently carrying light anti-tank defense systems.

To remind, British Defense Secretary Ben Wallace, speaking in the House of Commons, said that the UK will deliver light anti-tank weapons to Ukraine for defense purposes amid reports that Russia is building up military forces on the Ukrainian border.

“Ukraine has every right to defend its borders, and the new aid package further empowers it” – said Ben Wallace.

The first batch was shipped on January 17, Wallace said, but did not specify the weapon type.
