Germany delivers new military aid to Ukraine

Germany sends another batch of military assistance to Ukraine, which includes armored vehicles, missiles, ammunition, and more.

The government website announced the list of weapons on the official website.

The package includes:

  • IRIS-T air defense system missiles;
  • 155 mm artillery ammunition rounds;
  • anti-sea mine system;
  • satcom monitoring system.

The assistance also includes armored personnel carriers, Bandvagn 206 (BV206) multi-purpose tracked vehicles, a BIBER bridge-layer with spare parts, WISENT 1 mine-clearing tanks, and minesweepers which will add up to the ones, provided before.

On January 31, Germany joined other 4 EU countries, Denmark, the Netherlands, the Czech Republic and Estonia, in a statement, pressing Europe to provide the ammunition and weapon systems, including howitzers, tanks, UAVs and air defence immediately.

German Defense Minister Boris Pistorius emphasized that Germany sends aid packages to Ukraine almost on a daily basis, even if it is not large supplies, to maintain continuous support.
