Germany, together with three other NATO countries, is preparing a military aid package for Ukraine worth €1.4 billion, which is planned to be delivered by the end of 2024.
This was announced by German Chancellor Olaf Scholz ahead of talks with President Volodymyr Zelenskyy in Berlin.
“By the end of the year, with the support of our partners—Belgium, Denmark, and Norway—we will deliver another package worth €1.4 billion to Ukraine,” said Scholz.
The package also includes air defense systems – IRIS-T, Skynex, “Gepards,” howitzers, self-propelled artillery, armored vehicles, combat drones, radar systems, and ammunition.
He added that Germany is allocating €4 billion in next year’s budget for direct bilateral assistance.
