Ukrainian Energy Minister German Galushchenko and U.S. Ambassador to Ukraine Bridget Brink have discussed measures to bolster air defenses to protect Ukraine’s energy system.

The Ukrainian Energy Ministry reported this on the Telegram messaging app, according to Ukrinform.

During their meeting, the two also talked about measures to protect transmission facilities around nuclear power plants.

Galushchenko briefed Brink on the current situation in Ukraine’s power grid and emphasized that the situation was improving.

Energy workers are successfully conducting repairs to restore the power system following Russian attacks.

According to him, “if there are no new dramatic effects from enemy shelling, this positive trend will continue.”

The meeting participants also discussed cooperation at the international level to implement the Peace Formula proposed by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy.
