Four Ukrainians returned from captivity in Libya – Petro Poroshenko

On Friday, February 2, four Ukrainians returned home after six years in captivity in Libya.

This was announced by President Petro Poroshenko on Facebook.

“I am happy that four citizens returned home after many years of captivity in Libya. I am grateful to the diplomats and foreign intelligence for four more Ukrainians who have been rescued,”  he stated.

The details about the Ukrainians’ captivity have not been reported yet.

Earlier, the Foreign Ministry of Ukraine recommended that Ukrainians refrain from traveling to Libya due to the deterioration of the security situation.
