Foreigners entering Ukraine in transit are exempted from self-isolation

Foreigners who will be on the territory of Ukraine in transit mode and must leave the country within 48 hours are exempt from self-isolation from September, 20.

This is reported by UA with the reference to the website of the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine.

Foreigners and stateless persons who enter Ukraine for the purpose of transit and have documents confirming their departure from the country within 48 hours are exempt from self-isolation from September 20. They also do not need to do tests for COVID-19 in Ukraine and don’t need to install the Diia application.

The requirement for foreigners and residence permit holders to have an insurance, issued by a company registered in Ukraine, which covers the costs of COVID-19 treatment and observation, remains.

In addition, foreigners, residence permit holders and stateless persons need to have one of the following documents to enter Ukraine:

confirmation of receiving of one or more doses of COVID-19 vaccine included in the WHO list;

– COVID certificate confirming vaccination, negative PCR test result or recovery from COVID-19;

– negative result of PCR test or rapid antigen test, made no more than 72 hours before entry.

Testing and vaccination certificates are not required for children under the age of 12.

Foreigners over 18, who are not vaccinated must have a negative test result and install “Vdoma” appliance to monitor self-isolation.

It ends if another negative test is received within 72 hours of entry.
