Finnish President Sauli Niinistö is willing to send peacekeepers to the Donbass region.

Niinistö spoke to journalists at the Munich Security Conference, reports Yevropeiska Pravda and Yle.

“This is one of the most serious problems in Europe, so if there is an opportunity to resolve the crisis, Finland must take part in this,” said Niinistö.

Former Secretary General of NATO, Anders Fogh Rasmussen proposed that the peacekeeping contingent should consist of 20,000 troops from non-NATO countries.
