Fierce battles on Sumy border as Russians attempt breakthrough to Sudzha – CCD

The Ukrainian Defense Forces are fighting with Russian assault groups that are attempting to break through the border in Sumy region.

According to Ukrinform, this is stated in a post on Telegram by Andriy Kovalenko, head of the Center for Countering Disinformation at the National Security and Defense Council.

“Difficult battles continue in the Sumy region, Russian assault groups are trying to break through and move towards the highway from Yunakivka to Sudzha in Kursk region,” Kovalenko said.

According to him, the Ukrainian Defense Forces are fighting and inflicting significant losses on the Russian army.

Earlier, the media reported that the Russian army broke through the Ukrainian defense line south of Sudzha in the Kursk region.

As Ukrinform reported, according to the head of the Sumy Regional Military Administration Volodymyr Artyukh, the Russians have intensified the use of sabotage groups in the Shostka and Sumy districts.
