European Union Receives a List of People Involved in the Elections in Crimea

Ukraine’s Foreign Minister, Pavlo Klimkin, handed over a list of 140 people involved in the Russian presidential election in Crimea, to the Foreign Ministries of the European Union.

The people on the list are accused of being involved in organizing and conducting the illegal election in Crimea, said Oleksii Makeiev, the political director of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine.

Klimkin met with various European ministers in Brussels, where he handed over the list. Klimkin said that the meeting with the EU Ministers of Foreign Affairs was significant.

The Russian presidential elections took place on Sunday, March 18. Vladimir Putin leads as usual. He has gotten more than 76 percent of the votes.
