Euro-Atlantic Forum Starts in Kyiv

For the seventh time, Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung (KAS) Ukraine is hosting the Euro-Atlantic Forum to discuss the current challenges Ukraine faces in its desire to integrate into NATO and the European Union.

The event is taking place right now in Kyiv. Those participating are mainly politicians, diplomats and experts.

“This international conference will bring together key government and civil society representatives of Ukraine, the European Union and the United States to discuss the current transatlantic agenda and to define key challenges and future outlooks for the transatlantic partners and Ukraine,” KAS states.

“Different panels during the one-day conference will shed light on the role of Ukraine in transatlantic relations, on the reoccurrence of economic protectionism and on global disinformation threats and security challenges. In total, more than twenty honorable speakers and over hundred guests will attend the conference.”

Three panels will be dedicated to the following topics:

– Transatlantic priorities and Ukraine

– Western integration under the glance of reform process

– Security challenges: military and non-military response

KAS is a political foundation, closely associated with the Christian Democratic Union of Germany. It operates with governmental institutions, political parties, civil society organizations and handpicked elites, building strong partnerships along the way. The organization seeks to intensify political cooperation at national and international levels.

KAS in Ukraine works within a tightly knit network of Ukrainian institutional partners. Among them are the Verkhovna Rada, the presidential administration, local governments, political party structures, NGOs, universities and think tanks.
