European Commissioner for Trade Maroš Šefčovič stated that the European Union and the United States must do a lot of work before they can ease trade tensions.
He wrote about this on X.
Šefčovič spoke with U.S. Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick and U.S. Trade Representative Jamieson Greer, saying that this was a key step toward better mutual understanding.
“A lot of work lies ahead, but let’s stay focused and explore the best ways to move forward in the right direction,” he wrote.
