The ambassadors of the EU countries approved the continuation of personal sanctions imposed against Russia for aggression against Ukraine.

Radio Liberty correspondent Rikard Jozwiak wrote about this on Twitter, UA informs.

“EU ambassadors have now given green light to prolong by six months the visa bans and asset freezes on 177 people and 44 entities considered to have undermined the territorial integrity of Ukraine. The sanctions are now 7 years old and more names have been added since 2014” – Jozwiak wrote.

He noted in the post about 44 legal entities, but in the comments noted that he was mistaken, there are actually 48 of them, as it was before.

The decision still needs to be formally approved by the EU Council.
