Elon Musk Announces Dual Motor Electric Vehicle

Elon Musk revealed the specifications for Tesla Model 3, Ukrinform reported.

The electric car will be an all-wheel drive and will have two motors: one in the front and one in the rear. The first motor is designed for driving at maximum speed; the second motor is for maximum range. In case of failure of one of the motors, the car will still be able to function by using the second one.

The maximum speed of the electric vehicle is 250 kilometers per hour. It accelerates to 96 kilometers per hour in 3.5 seconds. The battery has a range of 500 kilometers.

Tesla Model 3 will be available for sale for $78,000.
