Defending champion, Elina Svitolina, beat Daria Kasatkina from Russia, the No. 24 player in the world, in the finals of the tournament in Dubai.
Svitolina won relatively easily with a 6-4, 6-0 score.
This is the second victory for the Ukrainian this year and the eleventh of her career. In January, she won the tournament in Brisbane, Australia.
Svitolina is now ranked No. 4 in the world, and she climbed to the fourth place in the year-end championship race.
