Dynamo Kyiv Announced Oleksiy Mykhaylychenko as New Head Coach

Dynamo Kyiv has announced the appointment of the club’s sports director Oleksiy Mykhaylychenko as the team’s new head coach.

“On August 16 Mykhailychenko will have his first training session with the team,” press-release said.

Oleksiy Oleksandrovych Mykhaylychenko is a Ukrainian football coach and former professional football player. He is a Distinguished Master of Sports of the USSR and a Distinguished Coach of Ukraine.

Mikhailchenko was a head coach of Dynamo Kyiv from 2002 to 2002 and won two Ukrainian Premier League titles and the Ukrainian Cup.

In 2008 he headed Ukraine’s national team. Under his leadership, the team finished second in the qualifying group for the World Cup but lost to Greek national team. After that, Mikhailchenko left the post.
