Polish President Andrzej Duda is confident that newly elected American President Donald Trump will not allow Russia to destroy Ukraine, as he respects American taxpayers’ money.

This was reported by the Polish leader’s office on X (Twitter).

During a press conference with NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte, Duda described Trump as a “successful person” and a “natural fighter,” who “loves to fight and, above all, does not like to lose.”

“President Donald Trump respects, and we know this too, the money of American taxpayers,” he emphasized.

Duda noted that the American president has spoken about this many times and has emphasized it.

“Considering how much the U.S. has already invested in helping Ukraine, the huge sums of money provided to Ukraine’s defenders in the form of various military equipment and financial aid to help Ukraine survive and defend itself, then my conclusions are clear. I can’t imagine that President Donald Trump would allow Russia to destroy Ukraine,” he stressed.

Duda emphasized that it’s about respect for American taxpayers’ money, as well as ensuring that America gets involved and does not lose.

During his meeting with Rutte, Duda also raised the issue of potentially transferring Soviet-era MiG-29 fighter jets to Ukraine.

Earlier, several sources informed Fox News that Trump may soon appoint a special representative to oversee “peace talks” between Ukraine and Russia.
