According to the White House Press Secretary, Sarah Sanders, President Donald Trump fully admits that Russia interfered in the U.S. elections, in 2016, reported DW.

“It is absolutely clear that Russia interfered in the election, but that it did not affect the results. It is also clear that Donald Trump’s campaign did not enter into agreements with any Russians,” Sanders said.

She insists that Trump has always acknowledged the Russian meddling, but she did not answer directly when asked about Donald Trump’s actions in the context of new evidence of Russian interference.

Moreover, Sanders described Trump as being firm on Russia, and has pointed to the government’s assistance in exporting energy to Eastern Europe, supporting Obama’s sanctions on Russia, and giving Ukraine weapons, as evidence.
