The President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy announced the launch of the “Diia City” service, thanks to which Ukraine will have the opportunity to create the most powerful IT hub in Central and Eastern Europe.
The head of state said this during his speech in the Verkhovna Rada with an annual message, UA writes.
“We are building our own business, independent of the “wants” of officials, which takes into account all the wishes of the business. To do this, we are launching “Diia City”, which will create the most powerful IT hub in Ukraine in Central and Eastern Europe. Ukrainians and entrepreneurs from all over the world will have the opportunity to quickly implement the most ambitious innovative and business ideas and implement them effectively” – the President said.

Volodymyr Zelenskyy expects that in five years, Action City will help double the size of the IT market to about USD 12 billion, and the number of jobs up to 450 thousand people.
“These will be one of the best conditions for conducting IT business and creative industry in the world” – the head of state said.
The head of state also reminded that in ” Diia” are available:
- digital passport of a citizen;
- digital driver’s license;
- digital student ticket;
- car insurance;
- electronic signature in the smartphone;
- digital tax number;
- payment of taxes and fines, etc.
Zelenskyy stressed that the “Diia” application already has 11 million users.
