Data Science School to Open in Ukraine

A data science school is set to open in Kyiv, Ukraine, in the beginning of April 2018.

Data science involves the scientific study of data. The aim of the school is to help those who want to work with data in the future.

Selection of the students will start from March 1 to March 30.

The UData School is located in UNIT CITY in Kyiv. The courses will last for six months. Scholarships are also available.

Internships on real projects, with possible subsequent employment, are also available.

Professors in the school include PhD holders from the Institute of Mathematics of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine and Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv, and experts with experience in data science.

From April to June, students can sign up for a course called “Mathematics Pro.” The topics will include linear algebra and numerical optimization methods, time series analysis, mathematical methods of forecasting and decision making, probability theory and mathematical statistics, statistical dependencies and hypotheses, and testing of mathematical models.
