Ukrainian tennis player Daria Snigur will compete in the final match of the ITF World Tennis Tour Junior Finals tournament in China.
In the semifinals, the athlete took less than an hour to defeat American Hurricane Tyra Black, BTU reported.
For the main award, Snigur, 17, will play against the leader of the junior rating, France’s Diane Parry. In July, the Ukrainian beat her in the semifinals of the first category tournament in Roehampton.
Snigur will be only the second Ukrainian to play in the final of the Junior Finals. In 2017, Ukrainian Marta Kostyuk won the championship.
Earlier, Snigur defeated Russia’s Oksana Selekhmetyeva and guaranteed her participation in the ITF Junior Finals semi-final.
In August, Snigur won ITF tournaments in Israel, Japan in April, and Egypt in March.
In July, Snigur also won the junior girls’ title at Wimbledon, beating Alexa Noel of the United States 6-4, 6-4.
