Danish Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen believes that Ukraine’s allies should stop hesitating about providing assistance and allow the use of supplied weapons to strike Russia.

In an interview with Bloomberg, she stated that the ongoing discussions about “red lines” should come to an end. “It would be a mistake to have a public discussion about ‘red lines’ during this war, as it only gives the Russians better leverage,” she noted.

Frederiksen emphasized the need to eliminate delays in decision-making, asserting that restrictions on the use of weapons should be lifted. She does not believe that removing the ban on strikes within Russian territory would make allies participants in the war or escalate tensions on the front.

“My suggestion is to end the discussion about ‘red lines’… The most important ‘red line’ has already been crossed when the Russians entered Ukraine. I will not accept the premise that anyone from Russia should dictate what is right for NATO, Europe, or Ukraine,” she said.

On September 20, Ukrainian Defense Minister Rustem Umerov announced the receipt of €40.7 million from Denmark’s aid package for Ukrainian production. NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg has previously supported allowing Ukraine to conduct long-range strikes, expressing skepticism about the “red lines” set by Vladimir Putin.
