Czech Republic implements another project on ammunition for Ukraine

The Czech Republic is establishing a second project to provide more ammunition rounds for Ukraine called Initiative 2025.

The Czech Republic will again act as an intermediary between donors and 5 companies producing arms.

Czech Defence Minister Jana Černohová made such an announcement in a comment to Deník N, Ukrinform reported.

“This is a natural extension of the already functioning mechanism. In addition, the sooner donors allocate funds, the sooner our companies will sign long-term contracts,” the minister explained.

Th Czech Agency for Intergovernmental Cooperation under the Ministry of Defence is now looking into information from arms companies on the matter of their capacity in 2025.

On 22 July, Czech Foreign Minister Jan Lipavsky claimed that 100,000 more rounds of ammunition would arrive in Ukraine by the end of the summer within the Czech initiative.
