The Prime Minister of the Czech Republic Petr Fiala is optimistic about future deliveries of artillery shells to Ukraine and pledges tens of thousands of heavy artillery shells per month.

He wrote this on X.

“Our ammunition initiative can regularly supply Ukraine with tens of thousands of heavy artillery shells per month,” Fiala assured.

The Czech politician also revealed the size of his country’s contribution and by whom the first batch of ammunition, already received by Ukraine in June, was funded.

“18 countries have joined the initiative and the first deliveries, funded by Germany, have already arrived in Ukraine. The Czech Republic itself has contributed CZK 865 million. This money will be used for ammunition from the only Czech manufacturer of such ammunition, STV GROUP,” Petr Fiala wrote on X.

It should be noted that on June 27, in Brussels, Fiala and Zelenskyy met to talk about security and economical cooperation.

“We evaluated our bilateral relations, including security and economic cooperation. The Ukrainian President informed me about the current situation on the frontline and the state of the Ukrainian army. We discussed the peace summit held in Switzerland and the upcoming NATO summit, as well as relations between the European Union and Ukraine,” Fiala stated.

Initially, Petr Fiala confirmed the first successful delivery of the ammunition to Ukraine on June 25.

Previously, he stated that not all the states involved in the initiative had actually provided the money for it.
