The CSTO (Collective Security Treaty Organization) is a stillborn organization created for Russia to keep individual countries on a leash until the conditional restoration of the USSR or the Russian Empire. This opinion was expressed by the political analyst (Armenia) Armen Hovhannisyan today, November 24, on the air of the FREEDOM TV channel.
He added that now one of the functions of the CSTO is to protect dictators from their own peoples. And this organization simply by definition cannot be effective, the analyst believes.
“The CSTO states are states with an extremely high level of corruption. And the Russian army, its position, capabilities openly show the whole world what this form of government leads to. And in fact, all these “monsters” turn out to be empty and rotten inside,” Hovhannisyan emphasized.
And this organization, according to him, does not provide for the peoples of Kazakhstan, Armenia, Tajikistan, as well as Belarus and Russia itself, those functions that are provided for by the UN Charter, etc.
According to Hovhannisyan, after the start of Russia’s full-scale aggression against Ukraine, the CSTO became a war support organization.
