The Ministry of Health is working on the implementation of an internal document that will contain data on vaccination, negative PCR tests or recovery from COVID-19. This was announced on May 6 by the press service of the department, UATV informs.

Head of the Ministry of Health Maksym Stepanov stressed that the document is planned to be developed as soon as possible and it can start working on July 1.

“I believe that we need it in the country as soon as possible, if not in June, then that from July 1 it will work in full”, – said the Minister.

The certificate is developed taking into account the requirements of the Digital Green Certificate of the European Commission and the Smart Vaccination Certificate of the WHO. The data will be entered through the electronic health care system, and the certificate can be obtained from a doctor or generated in the application or “Diia” web-portal.

Before the introduction of such documents, Ukrainians who received 2 doses of vaccination will be able to obtain, if necessary, a paper international certificate of vaccination, which is now valid, when crossing the state border.

According to Stepanov, the start of an internal certificate will be accompanied by certain benefits for its owners. Thus, Ukrainians will be interested in being tested for coronavirus at the first symptoms and not self-medicating, the head of the Ministry of Health said.

Earlier, the US authorities will send more than 60 million doses of the AstraZeneca vaccine from COVID-19 to other countries by July 4.
