The White House has announced that Colombia has agreed to an “unlimited intake” of illegal migrants deported from the United States.

According to CNN, as reported by Ukrinform, White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt stated:

“The Colombian government has agreed to all of President Trump’s terms, including the unlimited acceptance of all Colombian illegal migrants returning from the United States, including on military aircraft—without restrictions or delays.”

She emphasized that the Trump administration has suspended the introduction of new tariffs against Colombia, provided the country complies with the agreement.

Leavitt clarified that visa sanctions against Colombian officials, as well as stricter customs checks on Colombian citizens and cargo ships, will remain in effect until the first U.S. deportation flight completes its mission successfully.

Previously, Donald Trump announced a 25% tariff on Colombian goods and restrictions on Colombian government officials after Colombian President Gustavo Petro refused to allow deportation flights to land in the country.
