Chargé d’Affaires of the United States to visit the Carpathian region for three days

Charge d’Affaires of the United States in Ukraine Kristina Kvien on September 15 begins a three-day visit to the Carpathian region.

During the trip, she will visit Uzhhorod, Ivano-Frankivsk, Kolomyia and Chernivtsi.

This was reported by the press service of the US Embassy in Ukraine, UA writes.

On September 15, during her stay in Uzhhorod, Kvien will visit the Uzhhorod border and customs control point, which was modernized with the assistance of the United States. Then the diplomat will meet with representatives of the operator of the gas transportation system of Ukraine at the Uzhhorod gas compressor station. Kristina Kvien will also attend the grand opening of the “Diia.Business center”. She will give a welcoming speech and take part in a round table.

Charge d’Affaires of the United States will visit Ivano-Frankivsk on September 16. And will meet with the leaders of the public organization “STAN” to discuss their work to popularize social activities among young people.

On September 17, Kvien will visit Kolomyia. She will meet with rabbi Zalishchiker and discuss the recent acts of vandalism at the local Jewish cemetery.

Then the Chargé d’Affaires will go to Chernivtsi, where she will visit the Yuriy Fedkovych Chernivtsi National University.

And take part in the in the ceremony of announcement of the new US-funded project to support the restoration of the historic Marble Hall of the University – an important element of the monument of the UNESCO World Heritage Site.
