Certain Ukrainian scientific projects are co-funded by the U.S.

The Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine reported that funds for the implementation of the ideas of this project will be received in 2018-2019.

The winners will conduct fundamental and applied research in the field of agrarian sciences and bio-technology. The chosen project is dealing with winter cover crops. The Institute of Bio-energetic Crops and Sugar Beet of the National Academy of Agrarian Sciences of Ukraine, the Virginia Polytechnic Institute and the State University are already working on the project. In addition to that, a project on the recycling of pesticides of the Shevchenko Kyiv National University and the Syracuse University will receive funding for its implementation. The implementation of the genome editing project, which is being managed by the Institute of Food Bio-technology and Genomics of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine and the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, is also on the horizon. The fourth project, which is being implemented by the Institute of Water Problems and Melioration of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine and the University of Ohio, is aimed at improving the quality of soils and the productivity of crops.

It is worth noting that the competition for young Ukrainian architects “Youth Competition 2018” continues. The ten finalists will be presented on April 20-21 in Kyiv, within the framework of CANactions International Architecture Festival 2018, where the winners of the competition will be announced.

The educational platform CANactions announced the start of the 10th t Young Architects’ Ukraine Youth Projects Contest “Youth Competition 2018” – the Na chasi website informs.

The competition will be held in two stages. At the first stage, 10 participants will be selected. At the second stage, the participants will present their own projects. Then the winners will be chosen and they will receive award prizes from sponsors and partners. The winners can earn a free education in the Master’s Program of the Dessau Institute of Architecture in Germany. Also, the winner can join the Ukrainian team for free at the workshops of the European Architectural Assembly in Croatia, which will take place this coming summer.
