Over the next 5 years, the Government of Canada will allocate an amount equivalent to $ 25 million to support several development projects in Ukraine.
According to the results of the virtual visit of the Minister of International Development of Canada Karina Gould to Ukraine, this was announced by the department she heads, Ukrinform writes.
“During the meeting, the minister announced the allocation of 30 million Canadian dollars over 5 years to support inclusive governance in Ukraine. A search has been launched for projects aimed at improving democratic, inclusive and gender-equitable governance in Ukraine, thus responding to the needs of all Ukrainians” – the statement said.
The Minister also announced the allocation of funds “to increase the capacity of the Ukrainian government to support the socio-economic well-being of Ukrainian women veterans”.
It is noted that Canada will support Ukraine’s efforts to improve primary care and critical health services because of the COVID-19 pandemic.
Earlier, the IMF announced the provision of $2.7 billion to Ukraine.
